IBMC College Longmont Welcomes Melanie Crane as the New Faculty Manager

LONGMONT, Colo. - May 20, 2014 - PRLog -- Longmont, CO: There is a new face at IBMC College Longmont. Melanie Crane has been hired as the new Faculty Manager at the campus.  She brings with her over twenty-five years of experience in higher education.

At IBMC, Melanie will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the faculty, supporting the Campus President, assisting with curriculum needs and ensuring that life-changing career training is delivered.

Melanie began her career in education at Barclay Career School in Los Angeles, California, and went on to work for Drake University in Des Moines for eight years.  After leaving Drake, Melanie worked at William Penn University – College for Working Adults in West Des Moines, Iowa for three years.  For the past fourteen years, Melanie has been the Academic Dean at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado.

Melanie earned a Paralegal Certificate at Barclay Career School while living in California and she utilized that educational experience to join the staff in the Law School of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.  She worked at the law school for five years before transferring to the Career Center for three years.  Melanie attended Des Moines Area Community College before transferring to Drake University where she earned her B.A. in Criminal Justice followed by her M.S. Ed in Higher Education Administration.

Melanie enjoys working in higher education administration and finds helping faculty and students to be extraordinarily fulfilling.  She has a passion for ensuring that the needs of faculty and staff are met by the college and is always looking for ways to improve systems to meet those needs.
