Kids ‘R’ Kids RTP Summer Camp Participants Will Bury a Time Capsule in 2014 to Open in 5 Years
The highlight of the 2014 summer camp at Kids 'R' Kids RTP will be the collecting of various keepsakes and memorabilia that will be buried in a Time Capsule to be opened in five years.
Kids ‘R’ Kids has selected the theme of nature this year – but children will also enjoy karate lessons, rock climbing, and field trips to many Triangle locations ranging from Frankie’s Fun Park to a backstage tour of the Durham Performing Arts Center.
The highlight of the summer camp will be the collecting of various keepsakes and memorabilia that will be buried in a Kids ‘R’ Kids RTP Summer Camp 2014 Time Capsule to be opened in five years.
“The idea of creating a time capsule came to us when one of our previous summer camp participants told us about her memories at Kids ‘R’ Kids RTP, explained Curriculum Director, Neeti Sobti. “Five years after her camp, she remembered little details about her fun-filled days here. The art she had created, the music teacher who invested so much time with her, and a lifelong friend who has transformed her life ever since.” Lynn Rasmussen added, “Five years in the life of a 6 year old is a long time. Just imagine – she will be eleven years old when she opens the capsule filled with memories of a summer camp where she made new friends, learned to skate, and created her first Time Capsule worthy piece of art!”
Parents Have Endorsed This Approach
Parents Terry and Ronald Parker endorse the Kids ‘R’ Kids Summer Camps wholeheartedly, "Our son started going to Kids R Kids for intercession in 2009 and summer camp the following year. He has enjoyed every moment spent there… I never have to worry if he is safe or having fun. The answer is always yes. The administrators are organized and efficient and will handle any problem that may come up in a timely manner. Everyone is very attentive and have the best interest of the kids. To anyone who wants their kids to be kids for the summer, have a lot of fun and get some learning in there at the same time, we would highly recommend Kids R Kids – RTP.”
Parents can sign up their children to attend all 10 weeks or select weeks that are convenient to them.
