Honorees to Receive Luis Perez Community Award for Extraordinary Service at the Annual Community Breakfast at the Seaside Clubhouse
MONTEREY, Calif. - May 20, 2014 - PRLog -- This annual breakfast, prepared and served by the Boys & Girls Nutrition staff along with Club member assistance, is held to recognize individuals and community partners who have provided extraordinary service to the Boys & Girls Club.  Guests will also learn of the impact the Club has made on Alumni currently serving our community and its youth.

This year's special honorees receiving the Luis Perez Community Award for service are:

Monterey Peninsula Foundation, Steve John, CEO - Community Partner Award

About Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County (BGCMC) has played an integral role in the community for 45 years.  With Clubhouses in Seaside and Salinas, BGCMC provides youth between the ages of 6-18 an afterschool safe haven where they are mentored to achieve academic success, acquire healthy lifestyles, and develop good character and citizenship.  Over 95% of the total budget comes from generous individuals, corporations and foundations.
