The Face Lift with the best results and why!

A Face Lift is a rejuvenation of the facial tissues to give a more youthful look by tightening the skin.

ATLANTA - May 23, 2014 - PRLog -- My favorite way of doing a Face Lift is using the MAC (Minimal Access Cranial Suspension) technique. A MAC Face Lift removes excess jowling around the chin, deep creases around the nose and mouth and restores the outline of the jawline. This is a less invasive method that has a quicker recovery time than your traditional Face Lift with less chance of bleeding and scarring. I use suspension sutures that lift and hold up sagging tissues and help the muscle and fascia layer. I also always do a fat transfer to the face to help fill in the areas of the face that have lost volume.

Every wrinkle will not be gone, but there is no miracle for that. It does help you have a more rested youthful look that is not obvious, but is noticeable. There is bruising as with any Face Lift that normally subsides within 3-4 weeks. Each patient is different. I have all my patients up and walking immediately so as not to produce a blood clot or hematoma. I keep Face Lift patients overnight so that their blood pressure and medicine can be monitored by a registered nurse. If a hematoma or any other type of bleeding is going to occur, it will occur within that time frame so it is safer to be in a medical facility with a nurse.

Your recovery time is approximately 3-4 weeks. Although I want you up and walking immediately, there should be no strenuous exercise until full recovery is met. After first having a Face Lift the patient should stay out of intensive sun and always use sunscreen with an extensive amount of sunscreen for months after surgery. The patient is allowed to wash their face as soon as the next day. Lotions are allowed a few days after surgery. No make up should be used anywhere near wounds for about 3 weeks after surgery. Any stitches that are not disolvable will come out about 7 days after surgery.

Complications and Risks are bleeding under the skin, facial nerve injury which is about 1% and is usually temporary.

The results of your surgery will depend on genetics, sun exposure, skin type and how well you take care of your skin. Usually results are about 10 years or more.
