Granite Transformations Will Launch New Ad in Texas and Test Market for Suitability
Kitchen and bathroom remodeling franchise produces new, more explanatory commercial, seeks to test the ad's potential success in Texas markets before a broader launch
The ad, which was produced by the EGC group, an ad agency based in New York, will be 60 seconds rather than the more traditional lengths of 15 and 30 seconds the company has gone with before. "The extra time was needed to communicate all of the different services that a prospective franchise owner can offer," says Carl Griffenkranz, Vice President of Marketing at Granite Transformations.
The ad focuses on kitchens and bathrooms the company has either remodeled or built, and showcases several of the company's more "green" initiatives, including recycled glass countertops and granite products, as well as glass mosaics, which are partially comprised of recycled content.
The company chose to test run the commercial in Texas because the market there is a good indicator of potential future success in other areas -- Dallas is seen by many industries as a fairly accurate representation of overall U.S. market response. If the longer commercial does well and generates buzz in this region, the company will likely continue to roll it out in other regional markets.
With a total of 85 franchises across the U.S. and Canada, Granite Transformations is familiar with the challenges inherent with marketing to different regions and understanding the type of ads various demographics will be most responsive to.
