Introducing the PV-RAD – Solar powered LED lighting solution for transit advertising shelters

The PV-RAD is part of Urban Solar’s PV-Shelter series, released earlier this year. The PV-Shelter series are autonomous, stand alone solar powered LED lighting systems. With aesthetic, low-profile integration features, the PV-RAD is designed specifically for transit bus shelters.

The PV-RAD solution eliminates the requirement for trenching power lines to a shelter location, thus reducing both the advertising agency and transit authority’s overall carbon footprint. Each stand alone solar system is maintenance free, with LEDs delivering ten times the operating life of a conventional fluorescent fixture. Incorporating the PV-Shelter series further enhances public perception of transit as an economical and environmentally friendly transportation choice.
