Event’s third year features 18 doers to teach and inspire at Loveland’s Rialto Theater
TEDxFrontRange is supported by FrontRange Initiatives (a Colorado nonprofit corporation)
Notable speakers at this year’s event include Michael Holthouse of Houston, Texas. Holthouse’s Prepared 4 Life, which helps prepare kids for life through fun experiential programs focused on life skills, character development and entrepreneurship training. P4L created National Lemonade Day in 2007, which teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business using a lemonade stand. This year’s National Lemonade Day is May 4, 2014. Last year’s program served 200,000 youth in 35 cities across North America, up from 2,700 in 2007.
Other speakers appearing include Kai Staats, formerly a northern Colorado technology entrepreneur, who recently premiered his film, “LIGO – A passion for understanding.”
“DIY – Doers, Influencers and You” is all about how It’s a DIY world. The TEDxFrontRange stage, will assemble presenters and performers who Do by Doing, Showing, Inspiring and Telling. An eclectic gathering of leaders, innovators, authors, artists, performers, and film makers will give brief presentations from five to eighteen minutes long that will inspire, amuse, and uplift the audience.
It’s a DIY world.
Knowledge is free, and freely available. No longer is the adage, “Those who can’t DO, TEACH!” considered to be conventional wisdom. We not only need doers; we need those influencers who can inspire us to do more and do better! Most important, though, what does this mean to YOU?
While it is a DIY world, that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to DIABY (do it ALL by yourself).
From the TEDxFrontRange stage, we’ll assemble presenters and performers who can:
Do by Doing
Do by Showing
Do by Telling
Do by Inspiring
Grow, learn and experience what DIY means for You. It’s a whole new world!
A post-event VIP reception offers VIP ticketholders the opportunity to mingle or dine with the speakers and discuss their work and presentation topics.
