High School Band Receives Long-Awaited Practice Field Thanks to Community Partnership with McCarthy

May 15th dedication event to be first band performance on newly converted field
SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. - May 13, 2014 - PRLog -- McCarthy Building Companies and the Combs High School district community are celebrating the dedication of the newly converted Marching Coyote Regiment of Combs high school band practice field. McCarthy coordinated the conversion of the empty field to ensure the band had a dedicated practice location, as opposed to sharing fields with the school’s soccer and football program

Who:          Combs School District representatives, including Principal Mrs. Mayberry;

Band Director Mr. Leo Werner; as well as teachers, students, band members, and volunteers; and McCarthy Building Companies host band practice field dedication.

What:          The Combs High School community welcomes the band to its first performance on the new band practice field, which was planned and developed over 18 months thanks to donations by McCarthy Building Companies, its partners DLR Group and San Tan Landscaping and with the assistance of nearly 100 volunteers who contributed to the transformation of the gravel lot, which is hoped to be a future auditorium/performing arts center. The district is hosting a dedication of the band practice field, including a ribbon cutting, and the first band performance its new field.
