Sony Xperia Z2 launched in India Markets
Six months after the successful launch of Sony Xperia Z1, the company has further expanded its product portfolio with another top-end smartphone Xperia Z2. Earlier, Sony has unveiled globally Xperia Z2 at Mobile World Congress 2014
The new Xperia Z2 boasts of 5.2-inch Full HD IPS screen. The smartphone is powered with 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset with 3GB RAM and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). For capturing merry momemts of life, Xperia Z2 is equipped with a 20.7MP camera with Exmor R for Mobile sensor. Other key features include 16GB internal storage, microSD card support up to 128GB, 3,200mAh battery and bluetooth 4.0.
Besides Xperia Z2, Sony has also launched a free smart band worth Rs 5,990 and back cover worth Rs 2,990 with the smartphone.Sony has introduced the new Xperia Z2 at Rs 49,990.
The Sony SmartBand will run with all Android KitKat smartphones through the Lifelog app which will keep tabs on everything happening in a person’s life. Hibi said Sony wanted to leave the choice to the customer and not limit them to using the SmartBand just with a Sony phone.
Asked if it was becoming difficult with so many new players entering the Indian market, Hibi said: “Having more players will help smartphones penetrate the market more and that is good.”
