Las Vegas’ Original Shopping Mall Seeking New Tenants

LAS VEGAS - May 11, 2014 - PRLog -- With upgrades already underway and major renovation construction set to begin later this year, The Boulevard Mall is negotiating leases with several new tenants and looking to add more. Sansone Companies (http://sansonecompanies.com/) / Boulevard Ventures acquired the 1.2-million square-foot property in December and already projects construction to begin on the project by mid-2014.

The Boulevard Mall sits in the heart of Las Vegas; just 1.2 miles from the World Famous Las Vegas Strip, making it one of the closest shopping mall to the iconic center of the city. Statistics from 2011 show that almost 40 million visitors per year flock to the city with 99.8 percent staying overnight. The average stay is nearly 5 days and the average visitor spends $129 shopping. Additionally, Clark County itself is the 14th largest county in the country.

Sansone aims to return The Boulevard Mall to it’s place as one of the area’s premiere destinations making it, an entertainment, dining and shopping venue with core concentration on value and a place to bring the family.

Boulevard Ventures has committed to investing $23 to $25 million in the mall's redevelopment, which will include a new line-up of stores, kiosks, restaurants and entertainment venues as well as a redesigned façade, new landscaping; and enhancements to surrounding areas on Maryland Parkway. Some changes have already begun with the rest set to happen in several phases and be completed by 2015. To reduce water use plants have been removed to make way for more water tolerant desert-landscaping. LED lights will replace outdated, inefficient bulbs.

In addition to the changes to the exterior and other construction projects, The Boulevard Mall is upgrading the overall experience and services offered to it’s patrons as well, including free Wi-Fi, adding big screen televisions to the food court area and offering valet parking.
