The Cancer Support Community MA South Shore offers Revealing Pathways to Creative Expression Program

NORWELL, Mass. - May 9, 2014 - PRLog -- The Cancer Support Community MA South Shore (CSS-MSS) is offering a class for people diagnosed with cancer, whether newly diagnosed, in treatment or beyond treatment to explore creative expression through art on Thursday, May 22 from 10 am to noon. It will take place at their facility at 120 Longwater Drive Suite 104 in Assinippi Park in Norwell.

Well known South Shore Artist Laura Tryon Jennings, who holds a B.A. in Fine Arts and Advanced Graduate Studies Certificate in Expressive and Creative Arts, will be the program instructor. The program is designed to be relaxing, safe, supportive and encouraging and will introduce and explore an expressive process to help soothe and empower the soul. The primary focus is working with the flow of the creative process, which allows participants to connect more deeply with themselves in a unique, powerful and quiet way. Through undemanding exercises, including simple writing and easy image making participants can get in touch with their core self, recognize and re-energize their strengths and move toward wholeness, healing and well-being.
