Kids Host Kick-A-Thon to benefit Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital

 
MENLO PARK, Calif. - May 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Kids from Martial Arts Academy in Menlo Park Host Kick-A-Thon to benefit Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital

MENLO PARK, Calif., May 9, 2014
– On Saturday, May 10, Kuk Sool Won of Menlo Park will host their annual “Kick-a-Thon” and mini-Carnival at the Arrillaga Family Recreation Center, located at 700 Alma Street, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Proceeds from the event will benefit Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford and the Menlo Park Martial Arts Scholarship Fund

The Kick-a-Thon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., during which students will kick continuously for a goal of 1000 kicks each.. A mini-Carnival with food, games, bounce house, and more will follow, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Over the past month, students of the martial arts school have asked friends and family members to pledge donations for the number of kicks they can achieve. The community is invited to watch the students fulfill their kick goals and is encouraged to participate in the fun activities that will follow.

“Over the years, this has become a family favorite event,” says Kristin Quintana, owner and chief instructor at Kuk Sool Won. “Our students to learn that they can make a difference in the community, and everyone really enjoys the challenge of the kick-a-thon.”
