MADISON, Wis. - May 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Madison, WI (PRWeb), May 7, 2014 – New business in town offers products for homeowners and farmers to energy efficiently raise their own fish and vegetables year-round.

Following an outpouring of positive feedback from an article published in Aquaponics Survival Communities magazine and a talk at the Wisconsin Garden Expo, Jeremiah Robinson – owner of Cold Weather Aquaponics – decided to start promoting his ideas more widely and offering products to support other aquaponic growers in cold parts of the world.

Blogging and promoting his ideas online through March and April, this month Jeremiah plans to begin offering for sale the following two inexpensive products for use with aquaponic systems:

·         A kit for converting freezers into large fish tanks.

·         A kit for safely heating water in large fish tanks.

With an upcoming event on May 17th at 10:00 a.m. as part of the Aquaponics Association’s Tour de Tanks and a workshop at the Wisconsin Permaculture Convergence on June 28, he hopes to begin promoting backyard aquaponics locally in Wisconsin.

At the intersection of the popular new trends of aquaponics and permaculture, Cold Weather Aquaponics hopes to expand backyard aquaponic greenhouse growing to the cold parts of the world by reducing the cost to build systems and heat them.
