Certified Records Manager, Daniel Beard, ERMM to lead session at Atlanta ARMA Workshop May 8, 2014

ATLANTA - May 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Certified Records Manager, Daniel Beard, ERMM, will be offering leadership insights and best practices to Records Information Management (RIM) professionals at the Annual ARMA Workshop.  Maggiano’s in Buckhead will host the annual Atlanta ARMA workshop on May 8, 2014.  Daniel Beard, CRM, ERMM, Vice President of Cadence Group and ARMA board member will help facilitate the 101 workshop.  “The day will be divided into two tracks allowing individuals to access the information that best suits their situation,” said Beard.  “This educational event has something for everyone since it addresses the wide scope of challenges we face in Records and Information Management (RIM) today.”

Track 1 or RIM101, is geared towards those just entering the profession or individuals in adjacent spaces or divisions that find themselves more involved in RIM.  The session will answer basic questions like why RIM is critical to their organization and how they can proactively protect the company during discovery.  Beard and other experts from ARMA will cover technology, systems and the key aspects of managing the records life cycle.

Track 2, now called RIM 201, was developed in response to past participants who expressed a desire go deeper into the Information Governance umbrella.  This session, developed for active RIM professionals, will address questions surrounding how to leverage the monster called Big Data without risking exposure, how to tap into the Cloud while maintaining security, accessibility and integrity and how knowing the ins and outs of information forensics will make you a hero to the General Counsel.
