Boston Engineering Names Michael Laine to Lead its Consumer Products Practice
Prior to joining Boston Engineering, Laine worked as an entrepreneur on three venture-backed startups and also held leadership roles at global technology and industrial brands. Additionally, he founded and grew a product development consulting firm with clients including early-stage consumer and business-focused technology companies. Laine also worked with several university intellectual property (IP) development departments to create commercialization strategies for innovative ideas.

Laine serves as an advisor to Boston University’s Institute for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization (ITEC). He is also a former president of the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) Information Management Council. Laine holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Saint Michael’s College and an MBA from Boston University.
