CARLE PLACE, N.Y. - May 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Summer can be the best time of year for outdoor activities with our canine companions. However, crowded dog parks, hot & hazy days, parasites, poisonous plant life and backyard barbeques can make this exciting time of year hazardous for our furry family members. Wednesday May 21th 2014 from 7:30pm-9:00pm emergency veterinarian Dr. Eve Pugh DVM, CVA will share her 14 years of experience, knowledge and expertise on how to deal with the most common pet injuries and emergencies.

“A trip to the dog park, hike while on vacation, or swim in a lake, or other fun summer activity can sometimes turn disastrous,” said Dr. Pugh. She continues, "The inability to do what is necessary to save their pet during an unexpected emergency combined with emotional distress of the situation is often overwhelming to pet owners. Having the ability to tend to their pet, even if it’s while on the way to veterinarian, could save a pet’s life.”
