Fire Safety Directors Launches OSHA 10 Hour Training Course in Midtown NYC
Fire Safety Directors is pleased to announce our newest Fire and Life Safety Training Course - OSHA 10 Hour for construction, maritime, and general industry workers and employers.
OSHA training typically covers topics like cranes, electrical safety, excavations, fall protection, materials handling, protective equipment, scaffolds, stairs and ladders, and power tools.

OSHA Training Requirements
Mandatory - 7 hours
- Introduction to OSHA – 2 hours.
Workers' rights, employer responsibilities and how to file a complaint. Helpful worker safety and health resources. Sample weekly fatality and catastrophe reports, material data safety sheets and an OSHA Log for Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses.
- Walking and Working Surfaces, including fall protection – 1 hour.
- Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, and Fire Protection – 1 hour.
- Electrical – 1 hour.
- Personal Protective Equipment – 1 hour.
- Hazard Communication – 1 hour.
Elective - 2 hours. At least two topics must be presented. The minimum length of any topic is one-half hour.

- Machine Guarding
- Introduction to Industrial Hygiene
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Safety and Health Program
- Fall Protection
Optional - 1 hours. Teach other general industry hazards or policies and/or expand on the mandatory or elective topics. The minimum length of any topic is one-half hour.
