PRLog -- S-cool revision is the UK's largest A-level and GCSE revision website with over 4.7 million unique visits per year. For several years S-cool have been polling their core audience for providing invaluable insight into student opinions. A recent series of polls asked s-cool readers about their revision habits.
Over
50% prefer to revise at the weekend instead of during the week. There are also a lot of night owls with 53% preferring to study in the evening or at night followed by 23% opting to be the early bird in the morning.
When it comes to location, a majority, 47%, prefer to study at home or 28% prefer another room in the house.
When it comes to the amount of time taken for studying sessions, 36% of students polled prefer 30 minute bursts and 40% prefer to revise more than 60 minutes a day.
For the amount of subjects tackled: 10% opted to revise lots of planned subjects per day while 37% aimed for two subjects per day.
Another revealed that 52% preferred reading and quietly making notes when revising and 21% of students preferred reading and talking aloud or moving about.
When it comes to their revision environment
36% of students preferred gentle background music whilst studying, closely followed by 29% preferring complete silence. A majority of 73% preferred to revise alone.
