Spoken Word Poet Helps Young Single Mothers Chasing Their Dreams

May 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Keaidy Bennett spoken word poet, author of The Chronicles of a Love Addict: A Collection of Poems from a Love Junkie, and owner and founder of ChasingABabyandADream.com is working to help other young, single mothers achieve their goals.  She has offered to spend 10% of her profits from her book once it reaches 100,000 copies sold to help startup costs for young women with dreams of becoming entrepreneurs.

“I know it’s hard,” Keaidy says. “Having to budget for everything from rent to day care expenses on down to gas spent used up most of my money, so it was at times impossible to find the money I needed to fund a business.”

After a failed business deal with someone she once considered a friend, she decided to sell a collection of her poems to help start her online store to sell her t-shirt line and novels.

“I want other young, single moms to have that opportunity to provide an extra income and better life for themselves and their children as well. We are raising the next generation of leaders, and it’s important that we not only tell them but we also show them what we expect from them.”
