2014 Edison Award Recognizes Seegrid GT10 Tow Tractor Robot

May 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Last week, after a string of consecutive awards,Seegrid, maker of automated guided vehicles (AGVs), was awarded a prestigious 2014 Edison Award for the Seegrid automated GT10 tow tractor in the Applied Technology, Industrial Productivity category. The GT10 tow tractor automates the movement of flatbed cars, trains, or carts using Seegrid’s patented vision-guided technology.  Attach the load to the GT10, type in the route on the keypad, and the flexible AGV travels without wire, laser, tape, or magnet.  No facility or environment changes are required for Seegrid robots to navigate.  The vision-guided technology allows the GT10 tow tractor to use the existing infrastructure to map its guidance.
