Cimino Gallery and Custom Picture Framing Is a Stop on St. Pete's 2nd Saturday Mother's Day ArtWalk

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - May 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Over 40 galleries, studios and arts warehouses in St. Petersburg's burgeoning arts scene will open their doors to their customers, friends and neighbors for an evening of socializing, browsing and viewing. The venues will be open 5 to 9 pm (and later).

This month, St. Pete's 2nd Saturday ArtWalk falls on Saturday, May 10 — the evening before Mother's Day.

Cimino Gallery and Custom Picture Framing welcomes its new neighbors as the Gallery participates for the first time in the popular St. Petersburg arts event.

Justen Cimino, owner of Cimino Gallery is looking forward to participating in the ArtWalk. "It's important to have these ArtWalks to bring everyone together. I'm just so glad to be a part of the arts community here in St. Pete. The Arts Alliance has done a great service in fostering the arts here," said Cimino.

Works on display at Cimino Gallery include signed and numbered limited edition prints, original acrylic on canvas, photography, vintage prints and handmade jewelry. Artists at Cimino Gallery include Marc Mullin, Pachi Navazo Suarez, photographer Phil Celli, and jewelry artists Becky Jamin and Liz Gemelas. Cimino does all mounting and framing on the premises himself. He uses all archival quality materials.

"I'm building a relationship not only with my customers, but with the artists," said Cimino.

Glass art, clay, works on paper, oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, photography, collages, assemblages, metal fabrications, handmade furniture, lighting, and handmade jewelry are some of the media, forms and handcrafted items on display along the ArtWalk route.

ArtWalkers can get on a free red trolley or white coach bus at the first trolley stop: Craftsman House Gallery at 2955 Central Avenue. Free parking is available at various locations, among them: along First Avenue N and First Avenue S from 15th Street to 30th Street, and the northeast corner of Central Avenue and 49th Street.

A continuous trolley loop runs from the 10th Street and Central Avenue roundabout. The red trolley and white coach bus are free. The Central Avenue trolley goes to the venues on Central Avenue to Beach Drive. The cost of this loop is fifty cents.
