a leading Hispanic Sports Promotions and Management Company announced that its premier Boxing Talent, Juan Francisco “El Gallo” Estrada successfully defended his WBO Flyweight and WBA Super World Flyweight Titles on April 27, in a resounding victory against Ricky Mepranum on a festive Saturday night in Estrada’s hometown of Puerto Peñasco, Mexico. Juan Estrada was victorious when Richie Mepranum (28-4, 12 KOs) didn’t come out for round ten on Saturday night before a crowd of more than 4,000 fans and spectators at the Centro de Convenciones in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico.
The impressive victory secured a second straight title defense for the 24-year-old Boxing Sensation, Juan Francisco Estrada (26-2). In this highly-anticipated match, Estrada looked stronger as the fight progressed while his opponent became visibly weakened.
An emotional Estrada said, “I knew that if I consistently worked his body, that after several rounds he would be too weak to continue to put up much of a fight. I am very motivated and excited! I cannot believe what I dreamed of many times is becoming a reality and now I have had the opportunity to defend my titles in my own hometown, in front of my people. It's incredibly exciting. Thank God for all that has been given to me. Now that we have achieved this outstanding victory, it’s time to celebrate!”Carlos Moncada
