Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis & Mold Exposure Discussed in New Video
The IAQ Video Network releases another educational video about important environmental, health & safety (EH&S) issues.
HP is a kind of lung inflammation that occurs in people who develop immune system sensitization to inhaled organic dusts. HP has been documented in workers in buildings with mold and bacteria contaminated air-conditioners, and contaminated ductwork and filters. This lung disease can also occurred in people who work or spend time in water-damaged buildings.
“Symptoms of HP can vary, but they usually first appear within hours after exposure and often last for several days,” said Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates, the company behind the IAQ Video Network and the new public outreach video. “We hope this video helps to shed some light on hypersensitivity pneumonitis and how exposure to mold can be associated with the condition.”
This educational video was sponsored by a number of organizations and leading industry professionals that help to protect the public’s health. Sponsors include: EMSL Analytical, LA Testing, Mold Solutions & FastMoldRemoval.com, Clark Seif Clark, Zimmetry Environmental, ProcessMAP and Healthy Indoors magazine to name a few.
