Follow on Google News | Young minds with infinite energies and unique talents @ Youthopia 2014The Heritage School Kolkata's annual fest Youthopia 2014 was a grand success where there was a huge participation of various schools across Kolkata and Howrah.
By: www.theheritageschool.org The Heritage School, established in 2001, is a unique endeavour of the Kalyan Bharti Trust to recreate the ancient Gurukul tradition of India. The school, nestled in the lap of nature, provides an enriching atmosphere where children are encouraged to develop both their physical and intellectual faculties. The Heritage School aims towards a more comprehensive education system where equal attention is paid to physical, emotional and intellectual development of the students to make them conscientious, responsible and dynamic future citizens. The Heritage School actively participates in global programmes and connects its pupils to children around the world. While the Internet is widely used for communication and sharing of ideas, we also have student-exchange programmes with the UK and Germany where students visit the partner school and stay with host families. Such visits enable pupils to experience new cultures and learn first-hand about the world. Special grants enable teachers to visit schools abroad and gain first-hand experience of education systems followed in other countries. Sharing of teaching-learning methodologies is an important way of keeping in touch with new developments and constantly working towards making the curriculum at The Heritage School reflect changes that are occurring in the field of education worldwide. The countries we are currently working with include Argentina, Brazil, Turkey, France, Germany, Poland and the UK. International projects are planned for students, right from Ankuran to the senior school. Skyping and blogging enables children to enter classrooms around the world. This creates a vibrant environment in which students of all age groups learn from their peers across the globe! End
