The theme this year is “Nutrition for Enhanced Recovery After Surgery” and we hope you will join us as we explore the challenges and celebrate the achievements in ERAS.
We all know ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) is possible with 3 factors. 1) Nutrition Support, 2) Good Pain Relief and 3) Early Mobilization. Through this concept on ERaS has been existing since 1990, we in our country are not acknowledging this evidence and still our surgical patients takes a prolonged recovery from their surgeries. We in our IAPEN have a dedicated core group for this programme which is interested in taking ERAS concept in a bigger way to perioperative physicians, surgeons and dieticians in the hospitals.
