Barolo had notable activity on bottlings such as Barolo Monfortino Riserva Giacomo Conterno 1999 and Barolo Monprivato Giuseppe Mauro Mascarello 2004 (Lots 56 & 203). The mixed lot format continues to be extremely popular with our online bidders as evidenced by the spirited action on several mixed Barolo lots on offer, such as the five bottle lot of Barolo Falletto di Serralunga Bruno Giacosa of vintages 1998-2000 & 2003 (Lot 85).

In keeping with recent auction market trends, top hammers were Bordeaux-focused showing that this remains a strong and collectible category. Germany was also a popular go-to in this sale, illustrated by Riesling Spatlese Scharzhofberger Egon Muller 1983 (Lot 260) which hammered considerably above its pre-sale estimates.
