Top Leadership Program for Third Year in a Row

WHITE HAVEN, Pa. - May 1, 2014 - PRLog -- White Haven Pa. – May 1, 2014 -- Sylvia Lafair, aka “Dr Transformation” was in Vail Colorado on April 10, 2014 to accept an award for her Total leadership Connections™ Program, making it the third year in a row to win an award sponsored by Leadership Excellence/H.R. com.

“I am so glad that our program, now in its thirteenth year is being recognized by such a prestigious organization. I also am delighted that we are in the top 10 percent of leadership programs in the United States that has well over 15000 programs to choose from.”

Total Leadership Connections™ was launched in 2001 to fill a need in the personal development area for those in executive positions who lead their organizations or high potentials who are being prepared to do so in the future. It is the flagship program at her company Creative Energy Options (CEOinc).http://www.ceoptions.com/

Dr. Lafair has worked with large Fortune 100 companies, family firms, and entrepreneurial startups. Years ago she began to see some trends regardless of the size of the company or the product or service they provided. She discovered one of the areas that was holding back effective communication and that held individuals and teams captive with unresolved conflict.

Here is the astounding idea that has revolutionized the way people behave in the workplace: It is that what we learned in our original organization, the family we bring with us into our present organization at work. While this makes great sense once you think about it, it is not what has been in the organizational development arena before.

Think of it this way: as children we learned to behave in certain ways to stay safe. We learned about fairness, favoritism, back-biting, betrayal, accountability, and cooperation. The behavior patterns we learned when we were ages three, seven or twelve follow us into the work setting. And what Dr. Lafair began to understand is that while much of the time we can behave in a mature manner at work, when stress hits the hot button we all have a natural tendency to revert back to the “gottcha” patterns that were our defense mechanisms as kids.

The power of this new way of understanding relationships at work led Dr Lafair to develop the 13 most common patterns we bring from family to work. These patterns, once they can be observed and understood can be transformed to what she calls, their positive and healthy opposites.

With this as the background she created a four session program where individuals from a variety of companies gather together from Wednesday evening beginning with dinner and complete on Friday morning by 11am to learn the core issues that show up at work and cause lower productivity, on-going conflict and what to do to make positive change happen in the workplace.

Her award winning book “Don’t Bring It to Work”http://www.amazon.com/Dont-Bring-Work-Breaking-Patterns-e... is based on the leadership program and has been used in graduate programs and in business settings around the globe.

“The learning I have gotten from “TLC” has stayed with me and made me a better leader. I have been able to help so many others see their own potential and change the patterns that were derailing them into ones that make leaders extraordinary.” Yvonne Cangalosi, President Spex Certiprep.

The next four session program begins on August 6-8, 2014 at The Country Place Retreat Center in White Haven Pa. For more information please contact Debbie@ceoptions.com or call 570 636 3858.
