Lake Norman Pet Sitting Raises Donations Supporting CMPD Special Operations K9 Unit
Officer Matt Yoder of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) called mentioning that while they had a generous donation last year from a Charlotte corporation and were “all set” on bullet proof vests for the Canine unit, two of the dogs were in desperate need of harness systems that the canines wear when going into dangerous situations. Yoder explained that the harness systems are expensive since they are manufactured and tailored specifically to the needs of the CMPD Canine Unit.
Yoder said “Interested?”
“Our budget does not allow us to go out and buy these harnesses at $600 a piece,” added Officer Matt Yoder. “So when local companies reach out to support us it makes a big impact. These harness systems are specifically designed to allow our dog teams to perform all tasks to support every unit within the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. We are grateful to our supporters,”
The harnesses are being designed by Remington Arms K-9 out of Charlotte.
