Stand Up Paddle Boarding Brings Bliss To The Chesapeake Bay

BALTIMORE - April 30, 2014 - PRLog -- (Baltimore, MD) – Ultimate Watersports (http://www.ultimatewatersports.com), Charm City’s largest water sports outfitter, is proud to announce that its flagship location will again host Baltimore’s premiere annual Bliss on the Bay, a Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) event benefiting HopeWell Cancer Support. State Delegate Jon S. Cardin will help kickoff this year’s event held at the Gunpowder Falls State Park – Hammerman Beach on Saturday, May 31, 2014. Bliss on the Bay (http://www.blissonthebay.com) will feature SUP races open to experienced, recreational, and kids; an unique corporate challenge event; and an outdoor racers village featuring a number of water sports outfitters. This event will be followed in the afternoon by Ultimate Watersports annual Paddlefest!

“Bliss On The Bay is a truly unique event in that it brings together all segments of the population for a day of fun, excitement, and adventure on the water,” says event committee member and wellness advocate, Del. Jon S. Cardin. “It does not matter what prior paddling experience you may have; the event is designed for all ages and abilities and our goal is to encourage families to be active and get outside to enjoy the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay.”

Ultimate Watersports will donate a portion of the event proceeds to HopeWell Cancer Support, a Baltimore based non-profit organization. “HopeWell again is honored to be the beneficiary of Bliss On The Bay. The environment for the event is right in line with ours. Early in the morning, where the races will take place on the Chesapeake Bay, you witness a calm, peaceful, serene place, much like the environment that we have tried to create at HopeWell in order to support to the individuals and families going through a cancer diagnosis who come to our Lutherville location,” says Suzanne Brace, Executive Director of HopeWell Cancer Support. “In addition to being the beneficiary, we look forward to getting our community involved in this growing event.
