The 60's Rock N Roll Spectacular to benefit Lynn Home for Women
The Lynn Auditorium on May 17, 2014. The show will feature 3 iconic bands...Jay and The Americans, The Cowsills and The Brooklyn Bridge Hosted by Jeff Lawrence of CBS Radio Boston (formerly Oldies 103.3/WODS) and 96.5 The Mill Manchester.
The Cowsills were the inspiration for the 1970 launch of the television show The Partridge Family from the New England Area Susan Cowsill states "One of my most favorite things to do is play back in our neck of the woods! Everything from seeing family, friends.. And just being in that east coast state of mind.. Also, spring time is my favorite time if year for coming home... It's around my birthday and always makes me feel young again! Oh, and the food isn’t bad either!!”
Jeff Lawrence states "it is always fun with these three acts, they all put on such spectacular shows, reminds me of all the good times we had at City Hall Plaza and the Hatch Shell, I am looking forward to this show and catching up with a lot of the people who will be attending as well."
Everyone that purchases a ticket to the show will become eligible to win a Custom American Telecaster Guitar, autographed and donated by Jay and The Americans. (See Attached Photo) A portion of the evening proceeds will benefit The Lynn Home For Women. Jay and The Americans https://www.youtube.com/
Richie Macioce, original Brooklyn Bridge member. "Original members of the group (which traces it's roots to the Spring of 1968) Jim Rosica, Les Cauchi and Joe Ruvio, along with long time members Lou Agiesta, Marty D'Amico and Jim Sarle (who have all been with the band from 35 to 42 years and counting ), carry fond and vivid memories of our trips to New England for concerts and club dates that will last a lifetime. Sadly, we lost the great Johnny Maestro some four years back, and then Freddy Ferrara a year and-a-half later to their callings 'from above'. We can't pretend that the loss of our talented friends Johnny and Freddy was not monumental; in fact it took years before a suitable replacement for John was found in the person of our new lead singer Joe Esposito. Joe knows that no one can replace Johnny's unmistakable voice, but he does know that it is an honor for him to pay tribute to Johnny by singing the highlight songs of Johnny's career with both The Crests and Brooklyn Bridge. Joe brings his own considerable career accomplishments into the fold, as his was the voice of such hits as Lady Lady Lady, You're The Best Around ( of The Karate Kid film ) and his duet Heaven Knows with the late Donna Summer."
