United Sanitizing has introduced PINPOINT (Portable INstant PathOgen INdicating Tool) which offers rapid coverage of large surfaces to indicate the presence of disease causing bacteria. This non-contact system allows operators to scan surfaces for bacterial contamination. PINPOINT uses select frequency wavelengths to distinguish pathogenic bacteria strains from those which do not harm humans. Once bacteria or biofilms are located, they can be sampled for identification and eradicated. PINPOINT works instantly and does not require the application of chemicals or disposable swabs. "This eliminates a hide-and-seek sampling deficiency for detecting pathogenic bacteria in many industries" says United Sanitizing CEO Chuck Carman, "It is very difficult to erradicate what you cannot locate. This technology absolutely focuses the effort on contaminated areas with unprecidented speed." PINPOINT is ideal for large scale jobs where sampling for bacteria was considered to be impractical by other methods. “What do you do after you locate such a large contaminated area?” asks Carman, “You use our NAV-CO2 systems to stop it” United Sanitizing provides pathogen control technologies for food safety, infection control, ambulance sanitizing, school sanitizing, transportation sanitizing and municipal sanitizing.
