New York Travel Writers Association and Family Travel Forum Announce Teen Travel Writing Scholarship
Writing Organization Seeks Best Teen Blogger from New York City Metro Region
After seven successful years, we are thrilled to be able to offer an additional merit scholarship, increasing teen travel writers' chances to win cash grants. Given in association with the New York Travel Writers Association (NYTWA) (learn more at http://www.nytwa.info)
The NYTWA Teen Travel Writing Scholarship will be awarded to the best travel blog written by a student who lives in the New York City metro area - within 100 miles of Times Square. The winner will receive a $500 cash grant.
The scholarship contest is open to students ages 13 to 18 who are enrolled in a junior high, high school or a homeschool program in the United States, Canada or American school abroad. Students are asked to submit a maximum 600-word essay on any type or any aspect of a trip they have taken in the last five years, along with a photo or video. The 2014 Teen Travel Writing Scholarship submission period runs from April 1, 2014 to July 27, 2014, and selected blogs will be published on Family Travel Forum's site http://www.MyFamilyTravels.com. The winning students' work will be announced on October 23, 2014.
