-- Being two courses away from being a certified public accountant, Richard Radykowski decided not to pursue that and went into air traffic controlling instead. He attended Pepperdine College where he studied basic courses such as English, history, math, and more. He also attended the University of Wisconsin and eventually moved on to the Texas Wesleyan.
On Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 2 p.m. EST, Richard will be a guest on Spotlite Radio where he will be discussing his journey through life. He was drafted in the Army, but the Air Force still allowed him to join them. They gave qualification tests to see where they would go, and he was sent into radar. Eventually they took him out of the radar position, and gave him a choice of five different career choices: lineman for telephones, gunsmith, air traffic controller or an instrument mechanic. He chose to be an air traffic controller. Richard will share with Spotlite Radio about his accomplishments of being an Air Traffic Controller and how he was a recipient of the Alumni Hall of Fame Award!
