Radio Show Demystifies Recovery Residences

Halfway Houses, Sober Homes – What’s the Difference? What to Look for - and Avoid
By: Break the Chains

STUART, Fla. - April 30, 2014 - PRLog -- It’s not always a good idea for addicts to return to their old home environment, especially when there are too many triggers around that could tempt someone to relapse.

That’s where recovery residences, also known as “halfway houses” or “sober homes,” can be a lifesaver.

But not all recovery residences are alike – and some can be even more dangerous to a person’s sobriety than the home environment they’re trying to stay away from if not well-run or not designed for the particular level of care the person needs.

Two recovery residences experts will be guests on Break the Chains, a talk show at www.talkzone.com, this Thursday, May 1 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.

Our guests will be Chris Edrington of St. Paul (Minnesota) Sober Living and Mike Carlson, owner of five recovery residences in South Florida. Listen live or listen any time to archived shows at: http://www.talkzone.com/shows/200/breakthechains.html.
