Efrayim Levenson’s Psalms are Inaugural Publication for Waterloo Cottage Press
“Book of Sparks: Psalms for a New World” is a collection of prose poems that will give inspiration to many who are struggling to stay afloat spiritually in our increasingly hectic modern-day world. In these psalms Levenson addresses redemption, thanks, Infinite Oneness, dance, Sabbath, family purity, food, repentance, and the Messiah.
“Here are psalms created in English that do that linguistic medium justice for expressing unprecedented meaning. In this collection, Levenson grasps the hem of deeper spirituality that lies within us, crying out for verbal expression”, said David P.B. Feder.
Matthue Roth, Hasidic author, slam poet, and screenwriter said, "'Book of Sparks' is the sizzling electric prayerbook for our lives, a collection of praises and love songs and tributes that are every bit as exuberant and crazy as Creation itself. "May I have this dance?" Levenson, in one of these pieces, poses the question to G-d. If these poems are any indication of his intent, the answer couldn't be anything but yes.”
This is Efrayim Levenson’s fourth book project. In 2013, Poets Wear Prada released “Funhouse”
