The current Sterling controversy will seemingly vindicate me for writing the song. Go listen to the words.

When asked about the single, Dr. McPherson shared: “I Hate Being Black” is a powerful song that strikes a chord in the mindset of African Americans around the world. It is not about hating ourselves but rather the racial profiling and prejudices that appear throughout our exercising of our freedoms. It is the theme of my book which speaks about the very same subject. We are besieged with high blood pressure, diabetes and other illnesses that many times are the result of the stresses of trying to overcome modern day racism in all of its shapes and colors. It is my conviction to stand side by side with Spyder D as we stir up the open dialogue to address the issues of modern racism, its effects on the psychological and physical health of African Americans and how we can move forward in a more informed way”, says Dr. Gregory McPherson.

Dr. McPherson and Spyder D were introduced by Kim Weekes, an Atlanta based entertainment promoter and producer.
