pHresh Products Saves Their First Child

April 26, 2014 - PRLog -- on pH balance, has partnered with Gift of Life International to save under privileged children from the scourge of heart disease. The Gift of Life, a project of Rotary International (the 1.2 million member worldwide service organization), has sponsored heart surgeries for over 17,000 children from developing countries since 1975. With their combined mission to promote health and wellness, and inspire world peace, pHresh Products and Gift of Life will help children suffering from heart defects, regardless of race, color, creed, gender or national origin. Both are honored and excited to be a part of such an amazing collaborative effort. Together they will provide both lifesaving heart surgeries and nutritional programs. This gives the children a second chance at life, while improving the health of families around the globe through pHresh products’ flagship product pHresh greens.

A portion of pHresh greens’ proceeds are lovingly donated to Gift of Life International to help save the lives of children. pHresh Product’s first sponsored child was Jaime De Cruz, a two-year-old boy from El Salvador. At birth, Jaime was diagnosed with a life-threatening congenital heart defect, which hindered his growth, leaving him in a desperate situation and in need of a life-saving surgery. With no hope in sight, Jaime’s family prayed for a miracle.

Jaime’s parents struggled to provide food and shelter for their three children. Making only seven dollars a day, they work around the clock just to make sure that their family survives and that basic needs are met. Knowing that their child’s life hung in the balance, they did what they could to ensure their little boy survived until help was found.

pHresh Products, along with The Gift of Life International, answered Jaime’s family’s prayers and gave them hope that their child would live another day. pHresh Products and all of their team, which includes their distribution partner, Select Nutrition (a division of UNFI),  pHresh Product’s retailers, customers and all who support pHresh Products. Together they were able to help to raise enough funds to sponsor Jaime’s lifesaving open heart operation which took place on February 12, 2014. Jaime is recovering well and is now back home.  pHresh Products has already started working on their next child who’ll need help just as Jaime did.
