NEW YORK - April 24, 2014 - PRLog -- Carmine Famiglietti (Writer, Actor and Producer) made his feature acting, producing and writing debut in Lbs., which made its world premiere at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for the Alfred P. Sloan Award. After numerous distribution setbacks, Lbs. was release theatrically on March 26th, 2010 and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award in 2011 (The John Cassavetes Award For Best Feature Film Produced For Under $500,00). “Lbs.” is currently available on iTunes, HULU and Amazon and made its broadcast premiere on PBS on July 28th, 2012.

He is an accredited comedy writer from Queens, New York and headlined regularly at New York's premiere comedy club, Caroline’s on Broadway. In 1999, Mr. Famiglietti signed with Alphabet City Records/Madacy Entertainment as a member of the comedy duo, The HaYa Doin' Boys. Their songs "The 12 Days of a Guido Christmas" & "HaYa Doin!? Yankees" were #1 requested songs on major NYC radio stations for nine years.

Mr. Famiglietti has produced TV spots for HSBC, Major League Baseball/Verizon, the Ad Council's Campaign For Freedom, and Open Up, an Anti-Racism PSA.

Mr. Famiglietti produced the award-winning short film, From Woodside, Queens and then went on to star, co-write and produce Bagelized. Both films made their world premiere at the Oscar®-qualifying Aspen Shortsfest in 2004 & 2005. In 2006, Mr.Famiglietti produced New Boobs, which was one of six projects commissioned by AtomFilms Studio and currently has over 1 million plays.

At the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival’s first annual Tropfest@Tribeca, co-jurors Matt Dillon and Naomi Watts awarded The Watering Hole the top prize, in which Mr. Famiglietti starred and produced.

Mr. Famiglietti wrote, produced and starred in his second feature film, Amexicano, which made its world premiere at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival. Amexicano screened at additional film festivals including the HBO New York International Latino Film Festival and The Sonoma Valley Film Festival where it won the Grand Jury Prize – THX Award. Amexicano was acquired by Maya Entertainment Group and released theatrically on September 19th, 2008. “Amexicano” was released on DVD January 13th, 2009 and is currently available on Netflix and can be seen regularly on Cinelatino.

Atlantic Records hired Mr. Famiglietti to produce & co-write Lupe Fiasco’s “My Radio is Bigger Than Yours," a short comedy promoting music by Grammy®-Nominated Lupe Fiasco. Mr. Famiglietti went on to produce other music videos for Atlantic Records including “Who Spiked The Egg Nog” by “Straight No Chaser.”

In 2008, Mr. Famiglietti produced the feature film When the Evening Comes, starring Tony® Award-Winner Philip Bosco and Emmy®-Nominated Anne Meara.

In 2010, Mr. Famiglietti made his second appearance on the “Law & Order” franchise and his first appearance on “Unforgettable.” Mr. Famiglietti then went on to assistant direct two feature films. “Not For Nothing”, a romantic comedy starring Thomas Ian Nicholas, Andrea Martin & Mike Starr and “Repatriate”, a thriller starring Jeremy Davidson, John Glover, Mark Margolis and Mykelti Williamson.

In June of 2013, Mr. Famiglietti, finished in 2nd place at the annual Tropfest New York Film Festival with the documentary, “Rooftop King.” The outdoor event was held in Prospect Park in Brooklyn and was attended by over 20,000 people.

Most recently, Mr. Famiglietti appeared alongside the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in the role of ‘Nick’ in John Slattery’s film, “God’s Pocket,” which made its world premiere at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. In addition, he appeared alongside Chyler Leigh, (Grey’s Anatomy) in the upcoming TV show, “Brooklyn Taxi.”
