New video social site speakme.com launches in public beta to change the way we communicate online

April 23, 2014 - PRLog -- This week, speakme.com announced its launch in public beta. The Toronto-based startup has created a new video forum architecture that flies in the face of the recent glut of anonymous social apps and text-based online comments.

speakme is a social video experience to discuss anything and everything that matters. Members record videos of up to 30 seconds, and others publicly respond with their own recorded videos. These responses play sequentially, creating a full, vibrant interaction; less like a bulletin board, and more like a friendly dinner conversation. By combining users' social media presences with face- to-face interactions, speakme are seeking to make the internet a friendlier, more engaging, and collaborative place.

“This is a labor of love,” said company Co-Founder Adam Fisch. “We’ve put our time, money and effort into this idea because the internet is much better at transmitting data than building relationships, and we want to tip the scales a little bit.”

speakme’s team is bolstered by GrandBright Software, a development shop out of Richmond Hill, Ontario founded by a pair of developers with decades of experience in enterprise architecture.
