Dr. Mitchell, Optometrist Celebrates 15 Years in Reno

RENO, Nev. - April 22, 2014 - PRLog -- For Dr. Mark Mitchell, the month of June 2014 marks 29 years in the eye care industry and 15 years at his current office -- and he’s looking to celebrate with everyone.

Starting now and until December 31, 2014, any patient (whether new or established) who walks into Dr. Mitchell's office on Kietzke in Reno and gives Dr. Mitchell the “high five” hand salute will get 15 percent off the purchase of sunglasses.

“It’s hard to believe we have been here for fifteen years now,” said Dr. Mitchell about relocating to reno. “At that time I wanted Reno to have available the high level of service that I was known for when I was teaching at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry."

Dr. Mitchell is the former Chief of Eye Disease at UC Berkeley and former Director of Eye Care for Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco.

Among the newest equipment available at Dr. Mitchell's office is a state-of-the-art, non-invasive test to photograph the retina. “These images allow us an extreme close-up of the retina, and makes it possible to detect early diagnosis of problems such as Age Related Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma and Diabetic eye disease among others,” said Dr. Mitchell.
