Lead: NBA commissioner Adam  Silver is determined to raise the draft age limit. The current age limit requiring American players to be 19 and a year out of high school took effect in 2005 and created a system where players could go to college for a year and then declare for the draft.

NFL: The 49ers have postponed negotiations with Colin Kaepernick while police investigate an incident earlier this month at a Miami hotel. Last week the Miami Police Department confirmed that Kaepernick, 49ers wide receiver Quinton Patton and Seattle Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette were named as persons involved in an incident report filed April 4.

NBA: Mike D’Antoni was still the Los Angeles Lakers’ coach as of Friday, April 18, but how long D’Antoni will keep his job won’t be decided on until next week at the earliest. Lakers General manager Mitch Kupchak praised D’Antoni Friday as the team headed out to an unusually early summer following a franchise-worst 55-loss season.

MLB: The Pittsburgh Pirates have acquired Ike Davis from the New York Mets in exchange for Minor League right-handed pitcher Zack Thornton and a player who is yet to be named. “We found the right fit,” Pirates general manager Neal Huntington said.
