SIS Kebon Jeruk decorates Easter with Cookies, Luxury Apartments & Mrs Fields Cookies

JAKARTA BARAT, Indonesia - April 20, 2014 - PRLog -- In partnership with the Puri Indah CBD project (http://www.thewindsor.co.id/) and Mrs Fields Cookies (http://twitter.com/MrsFieldsIndo) Singapore School Kebon Jeruk held a successful expose today in West Jakarta. The purpose of the day was to recognise Holy Week with the importance of Easter for many of the SIS Kebon Jeruk families and to also give an opportunity for parents to view the luxury Windsor apartments under development by the Pondok Indah group.

Over 30 families from SIS Kebon Jeruk and neighbouring schools met to enjoy a cookie decorating demonstration provided by the Top Chef of Mrs Fields Cookies, Indonesia. The demonstration provided inspiration and instruction for the parents and children alike, enjoyed by all. Following the demonstration was a timed-competition, with all students receiving a large tinned cookie, decoration icing and lots of encouragement. Says Ms Linda, General Manager of the Windsor Luxury Apartment development, “We are delighted to host such an enthusiastic group of families who obviously love their school and enjoy spending time together”.

After an intensive 40 minutes of practical activity, three favourites were chosen by the Top Chef; two of the three places were taken by SIS Kebon Jeruk students, Vania and Karthika from P6. Both of these students attend the SIS Friday Cooking Club, so it was no surprise that their talents shone brightly on this day.

Mr Craig Hansen, Head Teacher of SIS Kebon Jeruk noted, “We have such a fun, committed group of families at SIS KJ. Being able to spend time together, celebrate Easter, create colourful cookies and enjoy the Windsor Luxury Apartments is a real treat. Mrs Fields Cookies is one of our many collaborators and we are thankful to them for providing great hospitality today. Our students really shone today with good behaviour, obvious talent and real enthusiasm. Easter is an important time for many of our Indonesian families and teaching staff. To join this event on a Sunday after Church services and other family events, shows their commitment to our School. I am proud of how they represented us at this event and the encouragement of the parents is a wonderful way to start our new week!”
