Get a Taste of Authentic Mexican Cuisine at 2014 New York Travel Festival
At the 2014 New York Travel Festival, attendees will tastefully discover authentic Mexican cuisine at the Mexico area on Saturday, April 26, at Bohemian National Hall, 321 E 73rd St.
On the Grand Ballroom level, NY Trav Fest sponsors Cafe Frida and Pierde Almas will provide samplings of meals and mescal throughout the course of the day.
Through its two New York City restaurants, on Columbus and Amsterdam avenues, Café Frida aims to expose the warmth, imagination, talent and heritage of Mexico. Pierde Almas is a hyper-gourmet, artisan-made, small-batch mezcal (a beverage made from the heart of the maguey plant, the piña) produced in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca from 100 percent naturally fermented agave.
While trying Mexican fare, NY Trav Fest attendees can also learn more about Mexico through our International Destination sponsor, Visit Mexico. This Mexican tourism board showcases different destinations and activities across the country.
In addition to the Mexico area, NY Trav Fest will feature a variety of sessions led by top experts from consumer and industry travel sectors. Festival hours for Saturday, April 26 are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. NY Trav Fest continues on Sunday, April 27, from noon to 6 p.m. at Hostelling International – New York, 891 Amsterdam Ave., also in New York City.
Ticket prices are as follows:
Consumer Weekend: $45
Industry Weekend: $100
Admission to only the Sunday, April 27 portion of NY Trav Fest (at Hostelling International – New York) with lunch is $15.
