A Step To Gold International Hires New International-Style Instructor

RALEIGH, N.C. - April 22, 2014 - PRLog -- A Step to Gold International Ballroom is pleased to announce the addition of international style ballroom dance veteran Laura Fan to our team of professional ballroom teachers. We will be having a WELCOME PARTY Sunday evening at 6:30 for those who would like to meet her and enjoy some general dancing.

SUMMARY
Ms. Fan has extensive studio management experience including establishing and operating one of the largest International Standard and Latin studios in the San Francisco Bay Area (2008-2013), Synergy Dance Ballroom (a.k.a. Premier Ballroom Studio), located at 4181 Cushing Pkwy in Fremont, California.

She was the co-organizer for the renowned and successful NDCA sanctioned dancesport competition "Pacific Grand Ball" from 2009 to 2011.

As a dance professional, Ms. Fan has over 17 years of the highest quality International Standard training and enjoyed a successful competitive career in both Professional and Amateur categories with various partners

Training History

Ms. Fan's main coaches with various partners include Luca & Loraine Barichhi, Igor & Irina Suvorov. She also trained with many renowned visiting coaches including Giordano Vanone, Anna Mikhed, Linas Koreiva, Paul Holmes, Arunas Bizokas, Giampiero Giannico, Glenn Weiss, Charlotte Jorgensen, etc.

Organizational Achievements

As a studio owner, Ms. Fan often organized and hosted major social and competition events for the dance community, including the Pacific Grand Ball (NDCA sanctioned event), annual Christmas and New Year's Eve live band events (300+ attendees) and showcase performances.

Ms. Fan is instrumental in the front office sales, backend operations and studio management for Synergy Dance Ballroom (formerly known as Premier Ballroom Studio 2008-2011, name changed in 2011 but without any ownership change).

As a competition organizer, Ms. Fan provided the studio facility, prepared the studio students as well as provided marketing and competition registrar support for the event, drawing more than 500+ spectators as well as achieving 800+ entries in the 1st competition event in 2009 Pacific Grand Ball.

Teaching

Ms. Fan was the Principal Standard Coach at Synergy Dance Ballroom. She was responsible for the popular International Standard Techniques and Patterns group classes. She has coached Professional Rising Star Smooth couple and many amateur standard couples. Some of her students' achievements include USA National finalist in Senior 3 age group, 1st placements in Novice & Pre-Championships events in the Senior 2 & 3 age groups, finalist in Adult Novice, etc.

Ms. Fan was also the Artistic Director for the Premier/Synergy Dance Ballroom Formation team, responsible for choreography, music edits and coaching of the team members.  Some of the performances can be viewed as follows:
