Guitar Lessons at Round Rock Drums!

April 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Round Rock Drums now offers GUITAR LESSONS!

All the fun begins in June of 2014!

Our guitar lessons will be the same high quality performance-based lesson style that we have developed for drums.  The kids coming on board in June will immediately begin working on songs for a show featuring student rock bands in December of 2014.

Mr. Ed (Drum Coach) has over 24 years of experience successfully teaching drums and coaching bands including guitarists.  He has coached local bands in San Antonio and Austin.  Recently, he has worked with the students of the Music Shack Studio to create wonderful experiences for the kids.

We have hired Nathan Carr to be an apprentice instructor in our studio.  Nathan is a former student of Mr. Ed and is very musical.  For over ten years, he has played drums, guitar and keyboard.  Nathan has a special knack for composing music as well as experience with music recording.  We are very excited to have Nathan as part of our studio.  Nathan has been working with our drum kids since March and will continue to do so leading up to June.

Our philosophy here at Round Rock Drums is that we care about kids.  We are a show driven studio, which means that we provide the kids with many chances to perform throughout the year.  When kids are preparing for a show, they practice and become more focused.  This style of teaching has turned out high quality musicians each year.  Our students excel in district and regional school music competitions.   Many students have gone on to have professional careers in the field of music - including becoming Band Directors.
