AJ Lewis Will Have You Lost In Wonder
West End Star and Eurovision hopeful to tour Ireland in June
“I’m so excited about the single release,” AJ said, “I’ve always loved singing and performing, and I really can’t imagine myself doing anything else. It’s such a thrill and honour to get up on stage and perform for people every night and there is nothing else on earth like it.”
AJ currently lives in London, but he has Irish roots as his grandfather is from County Wexford. “Ireland is such an amazing place, it means so much that Ireland will be the first country where I will perform Lost in Wonder live; the place my grandfather is from.” This is not the first time that AJ has performed in Ireland as, back in 2011; he performed in the Grand Canal Theatre as part of the Thriller Live tour and was interviewed on the Ray Foley Show as part of the show’s promotion.
AJ grew up in Southampton after he was adopted at the age of 18 months and has been surrounded by music from an early age, there is a strong musical tradition in the family, all nine of his cousins are singers.
AJ has enjoyed a varied career with highlights that have included being under consideration for Eurovision selection, staring in the West End musical, Thriller Live, taking on the lead role of Michael Jackson and wowing ooprc audiences with his vocal talents.
“AJ Lewis was the most impressive vocal performer of the night, powering his way through many of Jackson’s biggest numbers.” Ian Laws of the Sunderland Echo reported after reviewing the show.
He has also appeared in shows all over Europe as well as at the West End that include him starring in Soul Train, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Dancing in the Streets, Blues Brothers, Show Boat, Jerry Springer the Opera, Porgy and Bess and Up Against the Wall.
AJ has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall and was also part of Channel 5’s “Don’t Stop Believing Supergroup”.
