Ave Maria Wins Best Tasting Drinking Water Award

DALLAS - April 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Ave Maria Utility Company in Naples, FL. won first place in the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association’s “Best Tasting Drinking Water” contest this year, beating out 10 other regional finalists in Hendry, Lee and Collier counties in March.

The custom-built water treatment plant designed, built and operated by CH2M HILL for the Ave Maria (http://www.avemaria.com) community also won an award by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Water Treatment Plant Operations Excellence Award last month in February. This prestigious recognition is presented to facilities that demonstrate a commitment ibzng to excellence in management, operations, and maintenance.

CH2M HILL’s project manager Jason Vogel said, “Ave Maria Utility Company has reached the state championship three times and came away with 2 titles, so we’re thrilled with that average. This validates our commitment to our customers that their water is on par with commercially bottled brands. This recognition aligns perfectly with our dedication to quality and value, and gives our team yet another reason to be proud of the work we do each day.” Ave Maria claimed the state title in 2010.

In June 2014, Ave Maria Utility Company plans to compete for the national title in Boston, MA.
