Pello expands to Nordstrom.com, 200 Retailers Nationwide

CLEVELAND - April 15, 2014 - PRLog -- In less than 2 years, Ohio entrepreneur Cindy Perry has expanded pello, her patented line of ultra-plush baby floor pillows, from a hobby created out of her home to a must-have baby gear product featured by the premier fashion retailer Nordstrom.com, and more than 200 retails shops across the country.  Nordstrom began this month selling six different styles of pello to its online customers.

While Perry initially hand-made each pello out of her home, she quickly needed to identify a manufacturer as the number of retail outlets wanting to sell pello multiplied.  In addition to Nordstrom.com, pello is sold at more than 200 gift and baby shops and boutiques in 37 states and 2 countries.  pello products are also featured with online retailers vau.lt, yesimo.com, featuring high end products for the Spanish speaking community, and amazon.com.

Perry said that with so many of today’s baby accessories being made overseas, it can be difficult to find production facilities in the United States.  After an extensive search to identify a quality supplier, Perry selected a production facility less than an hour from her office to manufacture pello baby products.  In addition to making pello products, the facility is also the largest supplier of American made stick flags.

The pello features a distinct, donut-shaped floor pillow with raised edges, ultra-soft plush fabric and a soft padded center that benefits a child at all stages of development.  The soft center of the pillow creates a safe place for newborns and protects babies’ heads as they learn to sit.  The raised pello edges help strengthen babies’ muscles as they begin to raise their heads and learn to crawl.  The pello is machine-washable, durable and portable for moms on the go and is designed with 18 fabric patterns and coordinating fabrics.
