Beyond Sports: Player to Business Symposium for NFL Players

SAN DIEGO - April 14, 2014 - PRLog -- On June 13 and 14, Ascending Athletes and LaDainian Tomlinson are joining forces to help former professional athletes transition into the world of business. The Player to Business Symposium will be held in San Diego, California at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel and feature seminars, training, career interviews and networking opportunities.  Participants will also be guests at LaDainian Tomlinson’s Legends Dinner benefitting his Touching Lives Foundation on the evening of June 13.

Ascending Athletes seeks to serve professional athletes achieve their career goals beyond sports.  The organization is dedicated to helping former professional athletes gain the tools, knowledge and resources necessary to prepare, identify and land the business opportunity that answers the question, “What’s next?” With 80% of pro athletes financially broke 3 years after retiring, it is imperative that athletes have somewhere to go once they are out of a “job” that most likely defined them since childhood. President and founder, Andy Schroeder, understands the challenges and frustrations players face when trying to transition into building a life off the field, having worked with NFL players since 1995.  “It’s never too early or too late to start putting the pieces of your future together. The one thing all pro athletes have in common is a career that doesn’t last forever. The question they all must answer is how to transfer their skill set to a new career.
