National Speakers Association Appoints Three New Jersey Leaders To The Chapter Leadership Committee

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - April 17, 2014 - PRLog -- The newly appointed members of the Chapter Leadership Committee for the National Speakers Association were announced last week by NSA.

Kevin Thompson, Donna Cardillo and Greg Williams, members of the National Speakers Association-New Jersey Chapter (NSA-NJ), have agreed to serve two-year appointed terms on National Speakers Association’s (NSA’s) Chapter Leadership Committee (CLC), NSA announced last week.

The Chapter Leadership Committee (CLC) serves as a communication body for all NSA Chapters. NSA appoints past Chapter presidents who serve two-year rotating terms on the CLC as the connection between our national organization and the local chapters.

Chapters are divided into four geographical regions (approximately 10 Chapters in each) with a team of four to five coaches assigned to each region. In addition to being available for Chapter leaders within the assigned region, coaches are available to Chapter leaders in other areas as a resource of wisdom and counsel.

The CLC has two key functions within NSA: to act as a pool of coaches available to NSA Chapter leadership throughout the country; and to create practical leadership programming for Chapter leadership sessions at the annual NSA Convention and Chapter Leadership Institute.

The CLC is the voice of the Chapters, with a direct line to the NSA Board and staff, as well as a resource for support and advice to Chapter leaders. They are considered ad-hoc members of each Chapter board, as they play an important role in the Chapter’s annual plan.

Composition:

There will be 17 members of NSA's Chapter Leadership Committee for the 2014-15 year.

Chair: Vice President appoints Vice Chair for two-year term, beginning when the Vice President becomes President-Elect. Vice Chair assumes Chair the following year. (In the event of a vacancy in the Chair, the position is filled by appointment by the Board of Directors. Vice President and Vice Chair appoint Chapter coaches for two-year terms, those terms to begin when the Vice President becomes President-Elect.

Vice Chair: Assists the Chair. Vice Chair is chosen from the current group of CLC coaches.

Coach: The Chapter Leadership Committee coaches serve as consultants to Chapter leaders throughout the country for two-year terms. They are the voice of the Chapters with a direct line to the NSA Board and staff, as well as a resource for support and advice to Chapter leaders. In addition, the coaches create practical leadership programming for Chapter leadership sessions at the annual NSA Convention and Chapter Leadership Institute. All CLC Coaches must have served as Chapter Presidents.

Greg Williams, CDP, MBA is The Master Negotiator. He is a people-oriented business professional, with an extensive background in public speaking, training and delivering keynotes in the subject areas of: motivation, negotiation, interviewing strategies and techniques, strategies to becoming successful and the plight of small, minority businesses in turbulent economic times. He is the author of the bestselling book, “Negotiate: Afraid, ‘Know’ More,” the highly acclaimed audio CD set, “How to Negotiate Your Way to Success,” and the worldwide distributed, “Negotiation Tip of the Week.”
